It’s been a month full of celebration at UVA Health, and our teams continue to be recognized for their outstanding contributions! I promised to share a few of my favorite photos from UVA Health Week with all of you, but first I have a couple of exciting announcements to share.
UVA Health University Medical Center Earned Magnet® Re-Designation
We wrapped up Nurses Week and UVA Health Week with an incredible achievement: UVA Health University Medical Center has once again earned Magnet® re-designation — the gold standard in nursing excellence! Fewer than 10% of hospitals nationwide hold this distinction, and it reflects your extraordinary skill, compassion, and unwavering commitment to putting patients first. We livestreamed the moment we received the good news yesterday, and I’m thrilled to share the video for anyone who missed it.
Team Member Engagement Survey Still Open
At the beginning of May, I announced a team member survey launched by the Cornerstone program to learn what drives your personal sense of belonging and satisfaction at the medical center. The team also walked around UVA Health Week events to answer questions and invite more team members to share their feedback. The survey is still open, and it is not too late to join the conversation — and be entered to win some fun UVA Health swag. Thank you to those who have participated so far.
