Last week, we gathered to celebrate team members who’ve been part of UVA Health University Medical Center for 10, 15, and 20 years. I’m excited to share a few photos from the Service Awards luncheon that captured just how much heart, history, and pride filled the room.
Together, this group represents 8,514 years of service to our patients, teams, and community. Over those years, they helped shape UVA Health into what it is today. Those recognized witnessed (and led!) incredible growth — from new buildings and bold discoveries to breakthroughs in care and hundreds of project teams working to make us better for our patients and for one another. These efforts are fueled by compassion, commitment, and plenty of Higher Grounds coffee.

To each of you who were honored: thank you. Trends may have come and gone in the past 20 years, but your dedication to UVA Health’s mission has never wavered. You’ve cared for others, helped one another, and made a lasting mark on this organization. We are grateful for the legacy you’ve built and honored to work alongside you every day.
Take care and be well,
Wendy
P.S. We look forward to celebrating team members being recognized next week for 25 to 60 years of service!
