The Patient Experience Awards celebrate those who go above and beyond, delivering not just expertise but also empathy and a personal touch in every interaction.
Last week, we celebrated fiscal year 2024 providers who reached or exceeded the 90th percentile in overall provider metrics, along with leaders whose departments surpassed the 90th percentile or showed significant improvement from last year’s survey results. This year’s honorees include 304 licensed independent practitioners and 144 departmental teams from diverse practice settings. You can view the full list of honorees in Connect.

Each week, I read letters and posts from patients and families who are immensely grateful for the care they’ve received here. They share stories of patience, compassion, expert knowledge, and teamwork that go beyond policies and procedures. I am constantly amazed by your efforts, whether on the front lines or behind the scenes, to make UVA Health the best place to receive care. It was an honor to celebrate that excellence with some of our exceptional team members last week.
