On the very top floor of the Medical Center’s South Tower, you’ll find a highly trained and dedicated team running UVA Health’s Medical Communications Center (MEDCOM). From their tenth-floor control center, this special team keeps an eye on all communications, transit, security, and more. Most importantly, they make it possible for our communities from hundreds of miles around to access our expert care at UVA Health Medical Center.
As it’s a place that many of us wouldn’t visit, here’s a quick look behind the scenes.
